Dr. Dakota is a sports chiropractor with a passion for helping active individuals move well, feel strong, and stay connected to the activities they love. As a lifelong athlete, she understands firsthand the physical demands that training, competition, work, and everyday life can place on the body. Her background in running, triathlon training, strength training, Pilates, and endurance sports gives her a unique perspective when caring for patients of all activity levels.
Dr. Dakota began her chiropractic career at Finan Chiropractic, where she gained extensive experience treating athletes and active individuals with a wide variety of movement-related injuries and conditions. She later relocated to Omaha, Nebraska, where she provided coverage care for chiropractic offices throughout Omaha and the surrounding communities. During that time, she had the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations and gain valuable experience practicing in a variety of clinical settings and care models. After several years away, Dr. Dakota returned to Kansas City and rejoined KC Chiro because of her appreciation for the clinic’s collaborative, patient-centered approach, supportive team environment, and shared commitment to helping patients move and feel their best. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Dakota spent several years volunteering with Creighton University’s cross country and track teams and has provided muscle work and chiropractic care for athletes at local races, gyms, and endurance events. Dr. Dakota’s treatment approach combines gentle chiropractic adjustments, hands-on muscle and soft tissue therapy, dry needling, movement-based care, and individualized treatment plans designed to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy with confidence. She strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their care. Outside of the clinic, you can usually find Dr. Dakota running, taking Pilates classes, or sewing. |
